For Love Not Profit

Letter from the CEO

Dear Friends of Hospice and Home Care of the Blue Ridge,

Where to begin……

It does not even seem a reality that we are quickly approaching the 1-year anniversary mark of Helenes everlasting mark on our mountains and our minds!
In the sharing of conversations with friends, family, and co-workers, we all agree, there are now days we do not think that much about Helene. However, there are days when Helenes aftermath is so real it overwhelms us. As we travel in Helene hit areas, or even as we look at the views from our homes, some landscapes look “almost” pre-Helene like. But then, our eyes fall on a landscape that is still decimated by Helenes destruction. But as we look at the marks Helene left, our minds turn to the thoughts of “humanity” and all the compassion and kindness that seeded forth because of Helenes impact!
HHCBR again would like to deeply thank everyone for their outpouring of support, support that continues even now! The difficulty of the past year has been truly overshadowed by the care and concern so many have provided to HHCBR. This care and concern has aided in our continued mission of care for those we serve in our programming and our employees that serve in our client and patient care and operations.
The simple words “Thank You” are not enough and will never be enough to reflect our overwhelming thankfulness!
As we move into the fall season and the upcoming holidays, may our spirits and minds be even more reflective of this thankfulness and our resilience!

With humble hearts,

Christina Jenkins, CEO &

PALLIATIVE CARE

Pathways is a palliative care, consultative service that helps patients who are facing a serious illness. This program is designed to help patients manage illness and improve their quality of life. The pathways program provides support to those who are seeking curative treatment and can assist in identifying and setting up other programs that can be beneficial to the patient.
